September 2015 will house the first Irish Concertina workshop in the Netherlands! Two renowned teachers from Ireland, Cormac Begley (Co. Kerry) and Jack Talty (Co. Clare) will share their technique and tunes in a fantastic two-day workshop.
This workshop is catered to anglo-concertina players who have familiarity with the instrument as well with Irish traditional music. Since there will be two teachers during the weekend you can be assured of intensive tutoring in a relaxed atmosphere.
Each day will begin with breakfast (included), after which the classes will begin. A joint lunch (included) will separate the morning classes from the day classes. Refreshments will be available during the day.
The evening programme on the Saturday has not been decided yet, but I can well imagine that going out to a pub for some drinks and tunes are one of the possibilities. Note that dinner and the evening programme are not included in the price.
